      Question: I am a UK resident. I am to be prescribed 20,000 iu per day for 7 days to bring my levels. Only problem, ever since been suffering from vit d defeciency, one of my problems is dysphagia (tightening of throat muscles )had to swallow. Feel like Im going to choke on everything. Fear of taking pills. Vitamin D is not really liscensed for prescription use in the UK so not available. Would I be ok to take this in the dose reccomended by the doctor here? Is American iu the same as UK iu?
      • 0 0 A: IU's should be the same in each country however you might want to confirm that with your physician. Unfortunately I cannot provide any feedback on the dose your doctor has suggested for you as I am only able to suggest what the manufactured provides which is one 10,000 IU tablet.
