It doesn't have a strong scent like bengay or icy hot so that is a plus for people who do not like those scents. It also is not oily. However I did not find it to be super strong. It could be that I am a long time user of bengay and icy hot so I have built up some sort of resistance to this type of prudoct however when I use my bengay I can still feel the effects of it and when I used this prudoct I didn't feel it so much.
