    Question: Is there any fish derivatives in this capsule? I have an allergic reaction to an enzyme in all fish. Salt or freshwater.
    • 0 0 A: Vitamin Code multi’s are vegetarian and there are no fish products in these formulas.  Vitamin Code GMP process requires cleaning in between runs to prevent cross contamination, however there are other materials that are sourced from fish in the facility.  Allergen testing is performed after each cleaning to be sure that our cleaning procedure is validated and that we do not have any allergens trace before the next production run.  Their cleaning methods and equipment are verified with allergen swabbing etc.

    Question: I have heard that soy lecithin often contains solvents and pesticides left over from soybean production.I have also heard that unfermented soy products are rich in enzyme inhibitors that can interfere with proper digestion.Can you please respond to these concerns regarding your soy lecithin products ?Thanks Glen.
    • 0 0 A: Commercial lecithin manufacturing does indeed utilize solvents such as ethanol/alcohol, hexane or acetone in the extraction of lecithin. However nearly all solvent residue is evaporated out leaving behind very low levels of a few ppm (parts per million). Any potential pesticide residue would be lower than compared to soybean based products such as tofu, veggie burgers or edamame. Unfermented soy products would not include lecithin since it is separated from the actual trypsin inhibitors in processing.     Question: If you have any type of seafood reactions is it ok to take iodine? Will you have any reactions to iodine? I have been sick from crab and oysters before.
