    Question: Is Propolis safe for kids 7 and up?
    • 0 0 A: Bee Propolis is suitable for children at ½ the adult dose.  If you use the liquid, do not put directly in the mouth.  It does not mix well with liquid because it is waxy and can stick to the teeth.  Put a drop into water, juice, tea, etc., and drink the glob whole.  It would probably be better to get the capsule and open up and mix in liquid or sprinkle on food. Caution: People allergic to bees or bee products may be more likely to experience allergic reactions. Vote down - Vote up

A study performed in Switzerland showed a significant decrease in the intensity-rated hot flushes by 50% within 4 weeks and by 64% within 8 weeks (P<0.0001). The mean total number of hot flushes per day decreased significantly each week from week 1 to 8. The mean number of mild, moderate, severe, and very severe flushes decreased by 46%, 62%, 79%, and 100% over 8 weeks, respectively. The menopause rating scale and its somato-vegetative, psychological, and urogenital subscales decreased significantly by 43%, 43%, 47%, and 20% respectively. These soft gels are not chewable however if you remove the capsule and stir the contents into your drink, that would be possible. Soy isoflavones may inhibit bone resorption and help stimulate bone formation, without the side effects of hormone replacement therapy.
