Both safflower and sunflower plants belong to the thistle family. Safflower seeds are slightly smaller than sunflower seeds and the oil, even when unrefined, is very light in flavor. Unrefined Safflower Oil is recommended in fat modified diets to reduce high serum cholesterol. Flora Safflower Oil is an excellent food oil most beneficial when used cold in salad dressings. It is a very rich source of Linoleic acid.

Suggested Use: Safflower oil is an all purpose oil for baking, sautèing, frying and is especially delicious when used fresh in salad dressings.
