Oil pressed from flaxseed is incredibly rich in both omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids, if it is freshly pressed and unrefined. These two essential fatty acids are important for the immune system, digestive support, healthy brain function, soft and smooth skin, circulatory health and anti-aging benefits. Flora fresh-pressed Flax Oil is perishable and should be kept refrigerated at all times. The pressing and expiry dates are stamped on each bottle to ensure freshness. The shelf life is 8 months refrigerated. The product should be used 8 weeks after opening. Flora Flax Oil can be frozen to prolong shelf life.

Flora Flax Oils are all natural, unrefined and carefully cold-pressed using a unique manufacturing technique, avoiding light, heat and oxygen to protect the fragile essential fatty acids. This allows the enzymes in the seed matter to be processed at body temperature, so the essential fatty acids remain active. Before we start grinding the organic flax seeds, we use nitrogen gas to flush all the lines, pipes and tanks, ensuring optimum freshness of the flax oil. Flora oils are packaged in safe, non-reactive dark brown glass bottles with metal caps that have been nitrogen flushed and kept free of light and oxygen.

Suggested Use: Shake well before using. Take 1 Tbsp. up to 3 times daily. For optimum freshness, keep refrigerated and use within 2 months after opening. Flax oil can be frozen to maintain freshness. It is delicious in salad dressings, sauces, power shakes, and in place of butter on bread and vegetables. Do not heat above 300°F or use for frying.
