ACES provides four natural antioxidants to help protect the body from the harmful effects of free radicals. Our bodies naturally suppress free radicals with Vitamins A, C, E and the mineral Selenium. These antioxidants work together to neutralize highly reactive molecules. Even a balanced diet may not provide all of the antioxidants the body will use. ACES provides the body with tools for a four-point attack. Beta-Carotene quenches singlet oxygen molecules. Vitamin C protects tissue and blood components. Vitamin E protects cell membranes. Selenium is a vital building block in the structure of glutathione peroxidase, one of the body's antioxidant enzymes. Research indicates that together these nutrients are more effective than when taken individually.

Air pollution, ozone, radiation, dietary fats, tobacco smoke, and even, heavy exercise can produce unstable substances in the body called free radicals. Research has established that excess free radicals can damage healthy cells and contribute to pre-mature aging. The sources of nutrients in ACES are chosen with care, Beta-Carotene (pro-Vitamin A) is derived from tiny plants, D. salina algae, which also supply minor amounts of other carotenoid antioxidants such as alpha carotene, cryptoxanthin, zeaxanthin, and lutein. Calcium ascorbate is a non-acidic form of Vitamin C, which is gentle in the stomach. Vitamin E is 100% natural-source, the most biologically active form, from soy. Selenium is organically bound with an essential nutrient (Methionine) to promote assimilation.
