A popular bitter herb, Dandelion has a long history as a natural remedy. The name Dandelion is of the French phrase "dents de lion," meaning teeth of the lion. This name is based on observations of the Dandelion leaves' shape.

Commonly found throughout the Northern Hemisphere, Dandelion was used by Native Americans to treat kidney disease and for the relief of heartburn and indigestion.
