Healthy Origins proudly introduces Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol). Two high potency products – 1,200 IU and 2,400 IU softgels encapsulated in a base of pure cold pressed olive oil for maximum absorption. Both products are free of sugar, salt, starch, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, barley, fish, shellfish, nuts, tree nuts, egg and dairy products. No preservatives, artificial colors or artificial flavors.
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin necessary to help support the growth, development, and maintenance of bones and teeth in both adults and children. It is also required for calcium and phosphorous absorption and utilization. In its active form, vitamin D works with calcium to help control bone formation by helping to regulate calcium levels in the blood.
Vitamin D’s influence on the key biological functions vital to one’s health and well-being mandates that vitamin D no longer be ignored by the health care industry nor by individuals striving to achieve and maintain a greater state of health.
Directions: As a dietary supplement, take one (1) softgel daily, preferably with a meal. Do not exceed one (2) softgels during a 24 hour period.

Question: My son has made a test and found that his total 25 OH D is only 15.2 mglt. I would like to ask you if it is safe to take for a period of 8 weeks a much bigger dose of D3,our doctor suggests almost 48000 IU a week.(ONCE EVERY WEEK FOR 8 WEEKS)
- A: We cannot suggest taking this product other than directed by the manufacturer which is no more than 2 softgels in a 24 hour period. If your doctor suggests otherwise for a specific reason than you can choose to accept that dosage.
