Angioprim International was founded by Dr. Randolph Pinch, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. He went on later to attain his Master Herbalist with Merit. He was formerly with Angioprim US and was responsible for the development of their full range of products. He left Angioprim US in early 2006 to return to Canada where he continued his research and his practice of Chinese medicine. His research has resulted in many new and improved products. Chinese medicine is a system of medicine partly based on the idea that an energy, called qi (pronounced "chee"), flows along pathways in the body called meridians. In this belief, if the flow of qi along these meridians is blocked or unbalanced, illness can occur. Combinations of herbs help restore balance in the body. Chinese Herbal Medicine is distinct from medicine based on pharmaceutical drugs. First, because of the complexity of plant materials, herbs are far more balanced than pharmaceutical medicine - medicine based on isolated active ingredients. Secondly, because herbs are typically prescribed in combination, the different components of a formulae balance each other, and they undergo a mutual synergy which increases efficacy and enhances safety. Dr. Pinch?s true expertise lies in his ability to combine herbs using the most advanced carriers to increase the effectiveness of the products. Thirdly, herbal medicine seeks primarily to correct internal imbalances rather than to treat symptoms alone.
