Strontium is a trace element which was once easily obtained through foods and natural drinking water. Commercialized agriculture has made it difficult for us to obtain strontium and other trace minerals. Strontium has a chemical structure similar to that of calcium. however, unlike calcium it is easily absorbed by the body.

Strontium can be found throughout the entire skeletal structure and connective tissues. Clinical studies have shown Strontium to exert anabolic activity and effects bones on a cellular level by increasing calcium retention. Because it is believed to help increase bone density, supplementation of this non-essential trace mineral may decrease your chance of developing osteoporosis or osteoarthritis.
