Diabetic have special nutritional needs as they cannot properly process glucose, a sugar the body uses for energy. As a result, glucose stays in the blood, causing blood glucose to rise. At the same time, body cells are starved for glucose. Diabetes can lead to poor wound healing, higher risk of infections and many other problems involving the eyes, kidneys, nerves and heart.
Daily Support Look for the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that support your body's fuel supply and metabolic process. Biotin assists in the release of energy from carbohydrates. It also helps activate the energy transfer of the molecule ATP. Vitamin B6 is converted by the body into the main coenzyme responsible for amino acid and protein metabolism; while Carnitine & Taurine are amino acids that help convert lipids into energy for muscles and other cells. Chromium is an essential part of the GTF molecule, which is necessary for proper metabolism. Boron & Zinc help prevent and replace mineral loss through the urine. Cinnamon, Neem, Fenugreek and Vanadium provide phytonutrients, fiber and trace minerals to help support your nutritional needs.
Antioxidants Antioxidants provide protection for many of the body's important systems by combating free radicals and oxidants”molecules which damage cells, DNA, fats and cholesterol. Look for a diabetic multivitamin that is rich in powerful antioxidants such as Vitamins A, C & E, Selenium, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Quercitin, Citrus Bioflavonoids, Rutin, Hesperidin and Lutein that help protect, repair and support well-being.
Mega B-Vitamins Proper nourishment helps keep the fragile system of nerves, nerve sheaths, and synapses healthy and responsive to stimuli. The central nervous system relies heavily on Vitamin B6 to assist in the production of seratonin, a critical neurotransmitter; and Choline which is an essential precursor of acetylcholine, a stimulatory neurotransmitter. Vitamin B12 is necessary for the manufacture of nerve sheaths. Inositol helps maintain proper electrical energy and nutrient transfer across all cell membranes. Folic Acid assists in the growth and repair of tissues.

Question: Good oral health reeuirqs adequate calcium in your diet, and many people don't get enough. So try to include low-fat milk, yogurt, etc. Also, calcium is absorbed much more readily if you are also getting plenty of vitamin D, so you want to make sure that you are getting that as well. But mostly, oral health depends on keeping stuff away from your teeth. Acidic drinks (orange juice, sodas, etc.) and food particles are the enemy of good oral health. Hardly anyone brushes for long enough (at least two full minutes, and at least twice a day), and not enough people floss every day. If you do both of those things, that's more important than any supplement you could take.
