Question: Three tablets provide only 4 of daily requirements for dietary fiber. Isn't that minuscule or do I misunderstand something?
  • A: The RDA (Recommended Daily Allownace) of fiber for women is 25 grams and 38 grams for men. Surprisngly, the average adults eats only 15 grams per day, making it neccesary for some to supplement with fiber such as Psyllium. It is also important that the daily diet contain some foods high in fiber such as, vegetables, beans, whole grains and nuts. Fiber is necessary for the health of the digestive system and shows positive results for helping lower cholesterol. Supplementing with Psyllium is beneficial in conjunction with a diet consisting of foods high in fiber. Now Foods Psyllium contains 1.1gm in a single serving, taken twice per day doubles the fiber intake.
