Grass-Fed Beef Collagen Hydrolyzed (32oz) (2lbs) Includes Type 1 and 3 collagen

Collagen comprises 30% of our bodies’ total protein and found in our skin, bone, tendons, ligaments, muscles and cartilage. Why is collagen so important? It's the main component of all our connective tissue, giving our skin its elasticity and  helping to hold the body together. By our mid-20s, however, collagen production in our bodies is already in decline, on average 1% per year. The result for many include wrinkles, sagging skin, painful joints, osteoporosis, inflammation, and weak hair and teeth. Collagen helps reduce the decline with essential amino acids that trigger the body to produce more collagen.

Gelatin versus Collagen hydrolysate? Collagen hydrolysate is purified through a process that breaks it down into smaller molecules, thereby reducing its ability to gel. Unlike gelatin, which only dissolves in hot water, collagen hydrolysate will dissolve in cold water and is more easily digestible for optimal benefits. Zint Collagen is sourced from Argentine, Brazilian and Australian farming partners who are dedicated to humane, grass-fed, free-range farming.

Questions and answers:

Asked on: July 18, 2018
Question: Can I get collagen from food?
  • A: Our body naturally makes collagen from the foods we eat, but it produces less as we get older. A decrease in collagen can result in loss of skin elasticity and structure throughout the body such as wrinkles, hair loss and joint mobility. Eating fresh foods such as bell peppers, fish, sweet potatoes, beet, tomatoes and lean turkey help produce collagen in the body. Unfortunately with the American diet consumption at it's highest for processed foods collagen is reduced. An abundance of processed foods will only accelerate insufficient amounts of collagen being produced in the body. Supplementing with collagen powder ensures we are getting adequate amounts for healthy joints, skin, hair and connective tissue support. Seacoast chooses Z!nt as an excellent source of collagen due to it's clean grass-fed beef source. Why hydrolyslate? The collagen is purified through a process that breaks it down into smaller molecules. The result of this process makes each scoop dissolve easily in cold water making it more digestible for optimal benefits.
