As long as you are not a vegetarian and you are not allergic to the these ingredients: quercetin, bromelain, rice powder, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, and gelatin, you may take as recommended by the manufacturer.     Question: My husband has Acute Intermittent Porphyria ... Would this product be safe for him to take? He's gained a lot of weight recently, and would benefit with a healthy diet aid to help get him started ... He was always in great shape, however, a few unexpected injuries left him sedentary and the weight piled on. Now, at 50, he's finding it hard to kick-start himself, and would like to try this but, again, would like to verify its safety level. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Combining Nitrix with alcohol may increase the risk of low blood pressure (hypotension) and/or low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) particularly in the fasted state. Please be aware this product contains the naturally occurring amino acid Beta-Alanine, which may cause a tingling skin sensation in some individuals similar to niacin flush. This effect should diminish after a few hours and should ultimately subside after days of continuous use. Although rare, individuals with the genetic disorder hyper Beta-Alaninemia should not use this product.
