Mercurius Vivus 9C by Boiron is an herbal remedy derived from the element mercury. It has been indicated to be most effective in helping to relieve symptoms associated with skin disorders or acute problems with the mucous membranes. It is used to help treat sores or wounds that become inflamed or have a pus discharge.
Mercurius Vivus has also been used to help treat bacterial infections, especially in the ear or eye where a pussing discharge is evident. Some studies have indicated its effectiveness in helping to treat sore throat pain with bad breath and excessive salivation.
