The minimum daily requirement (RDA) for adults is 55mcg. Selenium is an essential trace mineral and found abundantly in some foods such as brazil nuts, organ meats, seafood, and wheat germ. Those consuming diets high in processed foods may have low selenium levels due to selenium being destroyed during the refining process. Selenium plays an important role in preventing disease and has shown to be beneficial in immune and thyroid function. Research is on going investigating low selenium levels and cancer, evidence is not conclusive at this time.
Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, take one tablet daily, preferably with meals.
