Used for one purpose only. Colds/flu, not as a preventative, as relief and considerable shorter duration then it ever used to take. Colds would last 3 1/2 to 5 weeks. Taking Echinacea has cured my colds in as little as 5-9 days respectfully. And not just on one occassion, but 3 times in the past 5 years. Dave R
