Question: Is the HCL really derived from beets or is it synthetic? Besides the gelain capsule, are there any other animal products in this supplement?
  • A: Betaine HCL is the acidic form of hydrocholoric acid which derivitive comes from beets. It assists in the body's natural stomach acids to aid in digestion and absorption of proteins, calcium, B12, and iron. It can lower the ph level of the stomach's hydrocholoric acid and help release proteases which may destroy ingested bacterias and microorganisms. There are no harmful additives or animal products involved in the making of this supplement.
