Nature's Way Goldenseal Root (100 Caps) is a product designed to exploit the health giving properties of Goldenseal. Goldenseal is a wild perennial herb that is native to North America. Native Americans used Goldenseal as a medicine to prevent disease and also as an external wash. This is mostly due to the high levels of alkaloids found in the herb which have all sorts of uses.

Both the herb itself and the root is helpful. However, the root is typically more potent because it contains a higher alkaloid content than the rest of the plant.
