Question: I can't remember who it was, but smooene made a of both an F150 (big pickup for those not in the know) and the new Mini Cooper. Both cars were crashed at the same speed against an offset concrete block (in the same fashion as ). The Mini Cooper fared much better in this test. If the two cars had been crashed head-on, however, the result would have been much different, as the Mini would have been splattered due to the large mass (and therefore also momentum) of the truck. This is an excellent example of how the safety of some American cars, especially trucks and SUVs, is mostly an afterthought.They fall over more easily.
