BroccoMax (250 mg 60 capsules)
Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli have been associated with antioxidant and cellular protection. BroccoMax® contains a standardized concentration of SGS (Sulforaphane Glucosinolate) extracted (without solvents) from broccoli seeds. SGS is metabolized to sulforaphane (isothiocyanate), which is a highly reactive antioxidant. In extensive studies, sulforaphane has been demonstrated to be a potent inducer of phase 2 detoxifying enzymes and protector of DNA. Each capsule of BroccoMax® contains 30 mg of sulforaphane glucosinolate, a concentration at least 20 times greater than that found in the full-grown broccoli plant.*

Question: I have ordered broccomax with selenium but have heard Myrosinase needs to be present in the supplement for the supplement to be metabolized . Is that true.

A:
Great question! Though I am not aware of the validity of the statment you came across, myrosinase is an enzyme naturally found in broccoli.
