Question: I'm on lasix 40mg in the am and 20mg in the evening, if there is no weight increase of two (2) pounds. If weight increases by 2 pounds then lasix is increased to 80mg in the am and 40mg in the evening. However, after seeing my prmiary care doctor, he has told me I can increase up to 180mg of lasix per day, however, after reading the side effects of lasix, I am very concerned about increasing to help with water retention. I have cogenstive heart failure and chronic renal failure. I am unsure of what level I am at on the chronic renal failure. I have been told stage 2 by my primary care doctor and stage 3 by my kidney doctor. Is Water Out a safe alternative to lasix?
